COMMUNITY FARM DAY - Gŵyl Awst - this Saturday!

Apologies this is a little late notice! It’s a busy Summer 😖 We will be gathering for our usual monthly Community Farm day this Saturday to mark a Gŵyl Awst and the beginning of time known as Harvest, albeit on a reduced programme.

We’ll just be doing a morning gathering (10am-2pm) this time for a couple of reasons:

It’s Llansteffan Carnival in the village in the afternoon, so some folks may want to go and join the fun down there

We are saving energy (and funding) for the big Harvest Celebration on Saturday 5th September (more info coming very soon!!)

We have another event using the farm in the late afternoon/evening, which we’ll need to prepare spaces for

But what we do have planned from 10am is:

🥬 Preserving the harvest - a big community harvest and preserving session of a load of beetroot!

🦋 Our newly formed Nature and Biodiversity Working group will lead on a butterfly count - if anyone would like to get involved in community wildlife surveying

🪚 Building projects & general helping hand activities on the farm

As ever, we’ll have a bring and share lunch, so please do bring a dish. Refreshments provided!
